Substrate Preparation.

If successful application of resin systems are to be achieved correct surface preparation is essential.

To ensure correct & adequate preparation we have invested in all our own specialist equipment ranging from:- hot compressed air machines, floor scabblers, diamond grinders & Vacublast machines.

All our machines are equipped with Industrial vacuums for DUST FREE preparation.

HOT COMPRESSED AIR
Hot compressed air "burns" out all grease / oil contamination which allows increased penetration of the resin into the substrate.
This results in substantially improved adhesion to the floor thus providing a more durable longer lasting finish.

VON ARX SCABBLERS
This is the preferred method of preparation if a Cementitious finish, Industrial Screed or topping is to be installed. The machine is fitted with Tungsten Tipped Flails and mechanically “ scabbles “ the floor leaving a textured, clean surface, ideal for floor screeds of all types.

DIAMOND GRINDERS
This type of preparation is normally used on thin section coatings as it does not “ texture “ or roughen the surface. It leaves a smooth, flat finish ideal for coatings or thin section, self smoothing toppings.

VACUBLAST MACHINE
These machines are usually used on large, open areas and can provide a lightly textured finish for coating or a heavier profile for Floor Screeds, Industrial Toppings.

DUST FREE
All of our machines are fitted with Industrial Vacuums for completely DUST FREE preparation. Once the floor has been correctly & thoroughly prepared our factory trained personnel complete the installation to high standards of quality control.
